Aim and Scope
Turkish Journal of Sense of Place and Urban Studies aims to publish high-quality research utilizing the sense of place as a theoretical framework and focusing on urban studies.
Nevertheless, TJSOP is an interdisciplinary journal covering geography, sociology, political science, public administration, urban planning, architecture, law, and psychology. The Journal's scope includes topics from these fields related to space or place, environment, and urban or rural settlements. Briefly, research on urban, rural, space, place, and environment from these fields are considered in the Journal's coverage.
The Journal welcomes submissions from all over the world and prioritizes submissions from early-career researchers and developing countries. The Journal accepts Turkish and English manuscripts and theoretical or empirical studies while encouraging researchers to submit their empirical research.
The main focus of the Journal is research or review articles. Occasionally, the Journal publishes commentaries by prominent scholars in urban research, high-quality book reviews, and interviews with distinguished researchers.
